Description

May I present to you: Lady Robyn Montferrat(although she would probably chop off your limbs if you call her a 'lady' :D)

Robyn spent her early days on a residence in the countryside alongside her mother Myra, her two younger brothers and her father Imar, who served his lifetime as an honorable knight of King Balin of Brabant. Her paternal roots go back to Persia, where her great-grandfather came from.

After her father died during the great battle of Brabant, the King took her and her family to live within the walls of the castle, since all he could offer his good friend's widowed wife and her children was shelter and security. Being a shieldmaiden, Robyn learned how to wield a sword at a very young age; she also frequently joined the squires at their sparrings; much to the regret of her mother. She hasn't been allowed to join battle yet, but she plans on doing so secretly, as soon as Angus the blacksmith finished forging her armor (the poor guy owes her one :D)

Story aside, I very much enjoyed working on this one. I tried a slightly different method of coloring this time, especially on the hair and fabric of her tunic - don't know if I'm gonna stick to that or not. ^^
I love that thick ponytail although you probably won't ever see her like that since she hopefully will be wearing a helmet in battle. safety first :D :D :D

Conceptually she reminds me of Eowyn from the Lord of the Rings who was also a shieldmaiden and rode into battle in armor to disguise her identity. She is also the one to slay the Witch-King who earlier slayed Theoden - King of Rohan. Her words in the kill were I am no man - thus echoing a line from Shakespeare. She was quite taken with Aragorn though later marries Faramir after Aragorn marries Arwen.

This LOTR comparison aside - you floor me again darling. I shall not make the error of calling her a lady for the sake of my limbs and frankly she looks more like a warrior maiden to me.
